Job Summary
The Wound and Ostomy Certified Nurse provides evaluation, assessment, treatment, prevention, and education as a qualified nurse for inpatient and outpatient wound and ostomy patients. Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with all patient care disciplines. Participates in and coordinates the delivery of family centered care and develops appropriate quality care metrics to measure and support patient safety efforts, patient/family experience, and staff performance while ensuring proper education and training to the patient care services team. Acts as a resource for all departments. Functions as a professional nurse consultant/resource/educator for inpatient and outpatient referrals who present with complex and/or chronic wounds.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
2 Years of Experience
BLS for Health Providers (AHA)
California RN License
Ped Adv Life Support Prov(AHA) or PEARS within 6 months of hire
National Certification in Wound, Ostomy, Continence (CWOCN) or Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON); if experienced Wound Care RN must obtain certification within 6 months of hire. If less than 1 year Wound RN experience, must have certification at time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 2 years inpatient nursing experience
4 Years of Experience
The current salary range for this position is $68.57 to $104.28
A candidate’s placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
